Azerbaijani professor: International community recognizes Azerbaijan's leading position

The international community recognizes Azerbaijan's leading position in the field of space research, participant of the 74th International Astronautical Congress in Baku, professor at the University of Florida, USA Nazim Muradov told Report.

"The choice of our country to host the event is not accidental. Space research in Azerbaijan began about 50 years ago. Very few countries can boast of having hosted the International Astronautical Congress twice. Azerbaijan is one of them," the professor said.

Muradov noted that he works in the field of rocket fuel and, unfortunately, does not have close ties with his Azerbaijani colleagues: "But I am proud that such a prestigious congress is being held in my hometown Baku. I think I will gain considerable useful experience here and I can apply it in my activities."

The Azerbaijani professor works closely with NASA - the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, created to implement US civil space programs. The professor makes a major contribution to the development of sensors for space rockets. His scientific achievements are highly valued internationally.
