Azerbaijan’s ICT sector sees more than 7% rise in output

Azerbaijan’s information and communication technology (ICT) sector produced 904 million manats’ worth of products from January to May this year — a 7.3% increase from the same period last year.

Report informs, citing the State Committee of Statistics, that in May alone, the sector’s output reached 188 million manats, up 5% year-on-year.

The ICT sector’s share in GDP during January–May stood at 1.8%.

Overall, Azerbaijan’s GDP for the period amounted to 50.0995 billion manats, reflecting a 1.5% year-on-year growth.
