Azerbaijan re-elected to ITSO Advisory Committee for 2026-2028

Azerbaijan has been re-elected to the Advisory Committee of the International Telecommunications Satellite Organization (ITSO) for the 2026-2028 term, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijan Space Agency (Azercosmos).

The relevant decision was adopted during the 42nd Session of the ITSO Assembly of Parties (AP-42) in Washington.

Held from September 30 to October 2, the Assembly brought together representatives of ITSO member states to discuss the development of international satellite communications, service accessibility, regulatory issues and the organization's future activities.

"Re-election of Azerbaijan to the ITSO Advisory Committee is important for continuing the country's participation in multilateral cooperation processes in international satellite communications. Membership creates additional opportunities for Azerbaijan to contribute to discussions and the preparation of decisions within the organization," the agency said.
