Azerbaijan ranked 9th regionally in Digital Government Development Index

In 2024, Azerbaijan ranked 74th globally and 9th regionally in the Digital Government Development Index, Kanan Akparov, Director of the DOST Digital Innovation Center, said at the international conference on "Adapting social protection systems in the context of the challenges of the modern world," Report informs.

According to Akparov, significant progress has been made in the Cyber ​​Security Index over the past year:

"Our indicator in this area has increased from 93rd to 76th place. These achievements are the result of large-scale reforms implemented in the field of digitalization in the country. One of the main driving forces of these reforms is the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population."

The director of the center stated that the Digital Development Concept, Cyber ​​Security Strategy and a number of other normative documents in this regard will be adopted and implemented in the near future.
