Azerbaijan and UAE may establish joint AI research center

Azerbaijan has discussed with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) the creation of a joint research and development center in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), Azerbaijan's Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev said on X.
"We held a meeting in Abu Dhabi with UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber. During the meeting, we discussed expanding cooperation in the areas of AI, cybersecurity, digitalization, capacity building, organizing training programs, exchanges, and providing scholarships," he noted.
According to Nabiyev, the parties also discussed exploring opportunities for joint investment and the establishment of a joint venture capital fund.
