Average salary in Azerbaijan’s ICT sector grows over 17%

In January-February this year, the average nominal salary in the information and communications (ICT) sector in Azerbaijan amounted to 1,640 manats ($964), Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.
In the public sector this figure was 1,373 manats ($807), and in the private sector - 1,846 manats ($1,085).
Compared to the same period last year, the average nominal salary in the ICT sector increased by 17.3%, including in the public sector by 17.8%, and in the private sector by 16.5%.
The number of employees in the ICT sector in Azerbaijan as of March 1 amounted to 32,600 people, of which 18,300 people are in the private sector.
