Headache may precede breathing problems in the Omicron strain of the coronavirus, the British newspaper Express writes about this, citing the National Health Service (NHS), Report informs.
“Some people start to have a headache before they notice any difficulty in breathing. This is a fairly common sign of COVID-19,” doctors noted.
According to the UK National Health Service, headache medications help reduce discomfort. They should be taken no more than three times a week, the doctors said.
Mutation B.1.1.529, known as the Omicron strain of SARS-CoV-2, was identified in Botswana and South Africa at the end of November. It carries dozens of transformations in the S-protein necessary for the pathogen to infect cells.
