Global COVID tally nears 426 million

The number of coronavirus cases has exceeded 425.9 million worldwide, Report informs with reference to Johns Hopkins University.
Since early 2020, over 5.89 million people have died from COVID-related health complications.
The United States, India and Brazil retain leading positions for the total number of registered cases.
To date, the US has recorded over 78.5 million cases of coronavirus infection and over 935,000 COVID-related deaths.
India ranks second with almost 42.85 million cases of infection and over 512,000 deaths.
Brazil’s tally exceeds 28.25 million, and as of February 22, almost 645,000 people have died of the viral disease in the South American country.
