Global COVID tally nears 418 million

The number of coronavirus cases has exceeded 417.7 million worldwide, Report informs with reference to Johns Hopkins University.
Since early 2020, over 5.85 million people have died from COVID-related health complications.
The United States, India and Brazil rank first, second and third, respectively, regarding the total number of registered cases.
To date, the US has recorded over 78.1 million cases of coronavirus infection and over 928,000 COVID-related deaths.
India ranks second with almost 42.75 million cases of infection and over 510,000 deaths.
Brazil’s tally exceeds 27.8 million, and as of February 17, over 641,000 people have died of the viral disease in the South American country.
