Vladanka Andreeva: Azerbaijan - strong partner in int’l arena

A number of events will be held throughout the year in connection with the 30th anniversary of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN, Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Vladanka Andreeva told journalists, Report informs.

“Events dedicated to the 30th anniversary of cooperation will be held throughout the year. We started our relations 30 years ago, when Azerbaijan was a young country, and today it is a strong partner in the international arena,” the UN resident coordinator said.

She noted that as part of a series of events, an UN-Azerbaijan high-level dialogue is scheduled for March 18, during which cooperation in the post-conflict period and the period after the COVID-19 pandemic will be discussed. It is also planned to hold a charity bazaar in the spring, etc.

Azerbaijan joined the UN on March 2, 1992. The Permanent Mission of Azerbaijan to the UN was opened on May 6 of the same year.
