Secretary of State: United States will continue to support implementation of Southern Gas Corridor

Baku. 10 July. REPORT.AZ/ "The United States will continue to support the implementation of the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) project".

Report informs, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said at a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Istanbul.

Notably, during the meeting President Ilham Aliyev spoke about the work done on the implementation of the Southern Gas Corridor. 

President Ilham Aliyev asked Rex Tillerson to deliver gratitude to the US President Donald Trump for his congratulatory letter on the occasion of the opening of the 24th International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference. 

The head of state assessed this letter as a support for US energy policy, especially the Southern Gas Corridor.
