Rossbach: Azerbaijan showed exceptional commitment at WUF13

Azerbaijan has demonstrated resilience, vision, and exceptional commitment at the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13), stated Anaclaudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the UN-Habitat, at the closing ceremony of WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
She noted that housing markets are clearly failing to meet people's needs, leaving billions living in inadequate, unsafe, and unaffordable conditions.
"As we mark the mid-point of the implementation of the new urban development agenda, the message from Baku is clear: the next decade must be one of accelerated implementation, scaled-up results, and tangible impact on people's lives. We need collective action based on people-centered urban development," Rossbach said.
