President Ilham Aliyev to Erdogan: 'Your statements expressing the interests of Azerbaijan at UN are yet another step of brotherhood'

“When this (anti-terrorist measures - ed.) happened, you (Erdogan - ed.) were in America, you were in New York, you were attending a session of the UN General Assembly. There, from the highest lectern in the world, you made statements expressing the interests of the Azerbaijani state, you made fair statements, you made statements based on international law – “Karabakh is the land of Azerbaijan,” President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in a press statement together to the press with President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Report informs via AZERTAC.

The head of state noted that this was both true and, at the same time, fully in line with international law, and it is also a step of brotherhood taken by Türkiye.
