Preparations for OIC Summit discussed in Baku

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Economic Cooperation (OIC), Asad Majeed Khan, who arrived in Baku to participate in the 12th Global Baku Forum.

According to Report, which cites the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on issues of cooperation within the OIC framework, measures to strengthen the organization, preparation for the upcoming OIC summit in Azerbaijan, and the regional agenda.

Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized the significance of the organization's work and noted that the OIC region has great potential in the areas of trade, transport, and communications.

Both sides acknowledged that the upcoming summit would be an important milestone in the development of the OIC and emphasized the need for active participation of the member states. During the meeting, there was also an exchange of views on a number of other pressing issues.
