Pashinyan: Azerbaijan-Armenia peace is possible

Normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations is possible, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said in the European Parliament today, Report informs.

Pashinyan noted that Armenia is ready to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan by the end of 2023.

According to him, normalization of relations is possible with the implementation of several principles: mutual recognition of territorial integrity, delimitation of borders, opening of regional communications, etc.

"If all communications are opened within the framework of the principle of reciprocity and sovereignty of countries, Armenia is ready to simplify procedures. We are ready to ensure the safety of cargo and passengers from Azerbaijan when traveling through our territory, hoping for reciprocity," Pashinyan said.

"Armenia can open roads for Azerbaijan and Türkiye under its sovereignty and its jurisdiction," he said.

Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia is also ready to cooperate on the issue of missing persons.

"We must move resolutely towards peace. We need to be supported so that we make the best possible use of this opportunity,” the prime minister added, addressing European parliamentarians.
