The Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of Azerbaijan, Sabina Aliyeva, has appealed to the international community over the burial discovered in Ergi-Duzu, Agdam district.
According to Reportç the appeal notes that the discovery of human-like remains during the excavations in the Ergi-Duzu area once again reveals the war crimes committed by Armenia during the occupation period.
"Studies conducted in the mass graves previously discovered in the liberated territories revealed numerous facts that the found remains belong to Azerbaijanis who were taken captive and hostages during the first Karabakh war, subjected to various tortures and brutally killed by the armed forces of Armenia," says the appeal.
The document says that despite numerous appeals, Armenia does not bring clarity to the fate of about 4,000 missing Azerbaijanis, does not provide information on the location of mass graves and accurate maps of minefields in gross violation of the norms and principles of international law.
