"Georgia plays an important role in the Azerbaijani-Armenian relations, and I thank you for that," NATO Special Representative for the South Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Kolomina Piriz told a meeting with Georgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani, the local bureau of Report says.
The special representative said the meeting discussed prospects in the context of regional security:
“I was in Azerbaijan yesterday and I will be in Armenia tomorrow. There are too many issues to discuss. I thanked the minister for the initiative put forward by Georgia to hold political consultations between the three countries of the South Caucasus. Georgia really plays a very important and active role in the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan."
