National Security Adviser: Pakistan attaches great importance to its ties with Azerbaijan

Baku. 9 June. REPORT.AZ/ Ambassador of Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Alizada called on National Security Adviser (Retd) Lieutenant General Nasser Janjua in Islamabad on Thursday.

Reports informs citing the Pakistani media matters related to bilateral cooperation in different areas including defence and security were discussed during the meeting.

Speaking on the occasion, Nasser Janjua said Pakistan attaches great importance to its ties with Azerbaijan.

In his remarks, the Azerbaijani ambassador said the two countries enjoy cordial ties and share views on major regional and international issues.

He said Azerbaijan fully supports Pakistan`s stance on Kashmir issue.

Both sides expressed satisfaction over the level and substance of growing bilateral engagements between the two countries.

Ways and means to enhance cooperation in defence and security were also discussed during the meeting.
