Nascimento: New platform makes Global South's fight against injustice necessary

New NGO platform makes it necessary for the Global South to fight against injustice, Almir Lima Nascimento, director of the Research Institute of International Relations of Brazil, said at the founding conference of the Global South NGO Platform in Baku, Report informs.

He expressed confidence that the platform will lead to the solution of important regional and global problems through global initiatives.

"The launch of this platform today is very relevant and important for us. We are currently facing many problems in the social and economic spheres. This new platform makes it necessary to fight with a united front against injustice, poverty and inequality within the Global South," Nascimento noted.

He added that delegates and countries should benefit and draw conclusions from the discussions taking place at the Global South NGO Platform in Baku.
