MP: Heydar Aliyev always prioritized development of Azerbaijan

Heydar Aliyev always prioritized the development of Azerbaijan, member of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Alexey Zhuravlyov said during the round table "Heydar Aliyev: his role in the development of the USSR and Russia" in Moscow.

According to Zhuravlyov, the biography of the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev deserves a very strong respect.

"This is a truly outstanding personality. The Azerbaijani people themselves value him very much. Heydar Aliyev did not have to fight for power, because the people themselves came to him and asked him to lead the country. Why? Because he knew how to govern the country and understood how to do it. He always focused on the development of Azerbaijan," he said.

Zhuravlyov also stressed that Heydar Aliyev had a special talent for negotiating: "He knew how to negotiate even in the most difficult conditions. He became an architect, managed to build a strong country. He loved to quote the great Nizami: "Let justice prevail."
