MP: Any incident in Russia could possibly be orchestrated by state authorities

Russia is turning itself into a state that is hostile to everyone, MP Fazil Mustafa, Chairman of the Committee for Public Associations and Religious Institutions at the Milli Majlis (Parliament) of Azerbaijan, told Report.

Mustafa noted that in this country, it is possible for any incident to be perpetrated by officials from state authorities:

"Therefore, I think we need to be more careful. Azerbaijanis living in Russia should try to avoid giving reasons for provocative calls and systematic attacks against Azerbaijan by being more cautious. Because attacks are being carried out in Russia in disgraceful ways. In Yekaterinburg, there are attacks on a lawyer and businessmen, and on the car of a diaspora leader. He is not even asked to get out of the car. After breaking the car window, they throw the diaspora leader to the ground and insult him. This is a very deplorable action in Russia."

The MP noted that living in Russia is becoming dangerous for any person:

"One should be more careful here. Azerbaijan's government and official bodies should also convey their objections and attitudes to the Russian side in a strict manner. This situation is not heading in a good direction. Russia is turning itself into a state that is hostile to everyone. This creates an extremely serious danger. In any case, this is not a pleasant situation. We should try to ensure that Azerbaijanis are not subjected to such insults. Let's not withhold our support for this."
