Minister Fikrat Mammadov: President has pardoned about 6,000 people so far

Azerbaijan has always been committed to the ideas of humanism, Azerbaijan's Minister of Justice Fikrat Mammadov said at the presentation of the new Action Plan of the Council of Europe for Azerbaijan for 2022-2025.

"Over the past period, President Ilham Aliyev pardoned about 6,000 people. The amnesty act, adopted on the occasion of November 8 - Victory Day, was the most comprehensive and covered more than 17,000 people," the minister said.
