Minister: Azerbaijan-UK relations based on friendship

Relations between Azerbaijan and the UK have been based on friendship, strategic partnership and mutual trust for many years, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said at the celebration of the official birthday of King Charles III in Baku, Report informs.

According to the minister, today, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to the development of relations between the countries: "Last year, bilateral trade increased by 55%. One of the main areas of active development of relations is energy."

Shahbazov also stressed the important role that the UK plays in the restoration and demining of the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
