Azerbaijan plans to enhance cooperation with Somalia in a trilateral format together with Türkiye, Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Somalia’s Foreign Minister Abdisalam Abdi Ali in Baku.
“Türkiye and Somalia have established close cooperation in a number of areas, and their relations have reached the level of strategic partnership. Azerbaijan is an ally of Türkiye. Taking all this into account, we have decided to develop cooperation in several areas within a trilateral framework,” he said.
Bayramov also emphasized the importance of continuing political consultations between the foreign ministries of Azerbaijan and Somalia, which were launched in 2025.
