MFA: Landmines planted by Armenia continue to endanger safety of Azerbaijani civilians

Landmines, deliberately and indiscriminately planted by Armenia continue to endanger safety and well-being of Azerbaijani civilians, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry said, according to Report.

"Today another civilian fell victim to a landmine explosion in Aghdam," the ministry noted, adding that since the end of 2020-war, a total of 387 Azerbaijanis have been killed or severely injured due to landmine contamination, highlighting the ongoing and devastating human cost of these hidden dangers.

The ministry stressed that persistent landmine contamination poses a major obstacle to peace, reconciliation, and stability in the region.

"We call upon the international community to provide meaningful political and practical support in addressing this critical issue," the ministry said.
