Meeting of Turkic member states' defense ministers to take place in 2025

The fourth meeting of the National Security Council Chairmen of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) and the meeting of defense ministers of member countries will be held in 2025, OTS Deputy Secretary General Omer Kocaman said in an interview with Report.

He noted that the organization attaches great importance to cooperation in the defense industry: "Our multilateral relations in the military sphere, defense industry, defense and security are gradually expanding. Within this framework, we have held three meetings of the OTS National Security Council Chairmen. The fourth meeting will be organized in September of this year in Bishkek. This year we also plan to hold a meeting of defense ministers of OTS member countries."

He also added that a Defense Industry Cooperation Platform is being created to deepen cooperation in the defense sphere: "At the International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF), which will be held this year in Istanbul, we will gather representatives of major enterprises in the defense industry."
