Kuala Lumpur mayor: Advanced int’l governance system needed to implement COP29 outcomes

The Global Baku Forum is a good platform to discuss events happening on a global scale, as well as to obtain insights and innovations about how to move forward, Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia's capital, and former Executive Director of the UN Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), Maimunah Mohd Sharif said, Report informs.
"Currently, we need an advanced international governance system so that we can look at the Paris Agreement and implement the outcomes of COP29 held in Baku last November. Along with leadership that keeps its word and implements what it says, financial capability and potential are also important," she told journalists at the 12th Global Baku Forum on March 13.
