During times of military escalation, it is crucial to rely on verified sources of information and not be misled by fake news created with the help of artificial intelligence, Claus Strunz, CEO of the Euronews television channel.
"In a military setting, it is extremely difficult to work with information coming from both sides. In such situations, communication becomes a weapon, and all platforms use it. Disinformation can create a distorted picture of reality that benefits one side or the other. Our mission as journalists is not just to convey the truth, but to show reality," he emphasized.
According to Strunz, in such periods, it is especially important for journalists to be interested in all sides of a problem or conflict.
"When all arguments and positions are collected and fed into a system, artificial intelligence can process them and generate a result. But we are only at the beginning of that journey. The sources that feed AI are the work of journalists. That’s why I am convinced: human resources are still more important than any machine," he added.
