Armenia violates ceasefire to stop the progress of the peace agenda, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Khalaf Khalafov, said during the bilateral political consultations held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and Romania in Baku on September 16.
The deputy minister spoke about new political realities that established in the region after the Patriotic War, restoration and construction works in the territories liberated from Armenian occupation. He noted that Azerbaijan has put forward the peace agenda and is taking appropriate steps to establish peace in the region and normalize relations with Armenia. Khalafov reported with regret that the Armenian side has been continuously violating the ceasefire in order to stop the progress of the peace agenda and to prevent the implementation of tripartite agreements, and as a result, on September 12, it committed an armed provocation on the border of the two countries, which had serious consequences.
