Kenya shows interest in Azerbaijan's ASAN service

Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev visited Kenya, Report informs, citing the MFA.

As part of the visit, the first political consultations between the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry and the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs took place in Nairobi.

The meeting, chaired by Deputy Minister Yalchin Rafiyev and Deputy Minister of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs of Kenya Abraham Korir SingOei, reviewed the positive dynamics of bilateral political, economic-trade, humanitarian and inter-parliamentary relations, as well as cooperation on international platforms.

The parties had a broad exchange of views on the prospects for the future development of relations that have developed over the past 20 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

The importance of expanding cooperation in the areas of information and communication technologies, digital economy, promotion of the ASAN Service model, energy, agriculture, tourism and education was particularly emphasized.

During the visit, Yalchin Rafiyev was received by the Prime Cabinet Secretary of Kenya, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi. It was noted that holding the first political consultations will be an important step in deepening cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.
