Azerbaijan has always supported the Global South and is ready to contribute.
Report informs that this was stated by Charlene Ruto, founder and CEO of SMACHS Foundation and daughter of the President of Kenya, during her speech at the Forum titled "Solidarity in Action: Strengthening Global South NGOs for a New and Fair World" in Baku on April 28.
She expressed her deep gratitude to Azerbaijan for this support: "Azerbaijan has always supported the Global South and is ready to contribute. COP29 was also a clear example of this. This platform should be a turning point for us."
Ruto stated that today's founding conference will also be an impetus for the development of the Global South while building the future:
"This platform focuses on increasing the power of the Global South. Therefore, we must unite. Because we cannot achieve progress without a strong unity. This is necessary to protect ecosystems. Measures should be taken against rising sea levels and drought problems."
