Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expresses condolences to Ilham Aliyev over AZAL plane crash

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed condolences to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev over the AZAL plane crash near Aktau, Report informs, citing Akorda.

"I received with deep sorrow the tragic news about the death of passengers and crew of Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft that crashed in Mangistau region. Sharing the pain of this irreparable loss, I express my sincere condolences to you, the relatives and families of the deceased, and to all the people of Azerbaijan," the telegram states.

Tokayev noted that following his instructions, the government of Kazakhstan has established a state commission that "is taking necessary measures as part of the rescue operation and will provide further necessary support to the Azerbaijani side."
