Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with the newly appointed Foreign Minister of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, Report informs, referring to Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
Bayramov congratulated his counterpart on her appointment as Foreign Minister in the newly formed government of Georgia and wished her success in this honorable position.
The parties discussed the current state of friendly and strategic partnership relations between the two countries, as well as existing plans and prospects for further development of these relations in the future.
They emphasized that the existing political dialogue at the highest levels between the countries, the intensive visits taking place, and the mechanism of political consultations contribute to the further strengthening of strategic partnership relations.
The ministers also exchanged views on regional issues and areas of cooperation within international organizations.
On December 2, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov also had a telephone conversation with former Foreign Minister of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili.
Bayramov noted with satisfaction the joint efforts of Ilia Darchiashvili during his tenure as Foreign Minister of Georgia to further strengthen the high-level and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries and expand cooperation at the international level and expressed his gratitude to the other party. Minister Bayramov wished Ilia Darchiashvili success.
It was emphasized that Azerbaijan and Georgia are united by good-neighborly and historically friendly relations, as well as strategic partnership in political, economic, humanitarian, and other areas.
