As a country with enormous potential in the use of alternative energy sources, Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of cooperation in this field, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, said at the conference on the prospects of the architecture of security and sustainable peace in the South Caucasus held in Warsaw, Poland, Report informs.
Speaking about the increasing significance of energy security amid recent events in the region and the world, the minister emphasized the importance of expanding multilateral cooperation to ensure energy security. He also noted the significance of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the European Union in July 2022.
“Azerbaijan implemented a number of successful projects towards strengthening the ties along the East-West Middle Corridor (Middle Corridor) and carried out works to restore transport and communication routes after the Patriotic War,” Bayramov said.
According to him, Armenia also must fulfill its obligations arisen from the Tripartite Statement dated November 10, 2020.
