Influential Peruvian media outlet carries interview with Azerbaijani MP

The official portal of the Federation of Peruvian Journalists carried an article, based on an interview of the vice-president of the organization, famous Peruvian journalist Ricardo Sanchez, who visited the Azerbaijani liberated territories, with the head of the Azerbaijani-Peruvian inter-parliamentary working group, MP Sahib Aliyev.

Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani embassy in Mexico that Sahib Aliyev noted in the article that Azerbaijan attached great importance to bilateral relations between the two countries. The parliamentarian said that he planned to meet with the Azerbaijani-Peruvian inter-parliamentary working group to discuss a joint appeal to the government of Peru on the restoration of the country's embassy in Baku.

Sahib Aliyev also thanked the Congress of Peru for the adoption in 2013 of the document on the recognition of the Khojali (Khojaly) genocide.

The article emphasizes that Azerbaijan, as the chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement, is seeking to promote the Bandung principles, strengthen the organization's reputation and expand cooperation with other international organizations.
