Azerbaijan is a reliable partner of NATO, President Ilham Aliyev said this at a news conference following a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels, Report informs.
The president thanked the NATO secretary-general for the high assessment of Azerbaijan's activities within the framework of the alliance's mission in Afghanistan, recalling that "the Azerbaijani military as part of the coalition forces were among the last to leave that country".
President Ilham Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan is also actively participating in NATO military exercises.
