Hikmet Hajiyev: Ironically, Gorbachov, who ordered a massacre of innocent civilians in Baku, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

Red Carnations became the symbol of Black January 20th, resistance and aspiration for independence of Azerbaijani people, Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, wrote on X, Report informs.

“Ironically, former USSR leader Mikail Gorbachov, who ordered a massacre of innocent civilians in Baku, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize a couple of months later in 1990,” Hajiyev said.
