Hikmat Hajiyev: Steps being taken to normalize Baku-Yerevan relations

Steps are being taken to normalize relations between Baku and Yerevan, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev told the Iranian Tasnim News Agency, Report informs.

"Steps are being taken to normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. As a result of the policy pursued by Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus region, the territories were liberated from occupation, Azerbaijan has fully restored its territorial integrity. Very good, favorable conditions for peace have been created in the region. A new status quo, a new reality has emerged in the South Caucasus region, and this new status quo is no longer based on occupation, aggression, but on relations based on the norms and principles of international law and legitimacy," Hajiyev added.
