Former minister: Protecting confidential data getting less attention

The issue of personal data protection requires increasing attention, former minister of defense of Montenegro, Milica Pejanović-Đurišić, said at the XII Global Baku Forum, Report informs.

She noted that after the Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris, there was a noticeable shift — from reflection to concrete actions.

But at the same time, she added that there is a growing problem in protecting confidential information and human rights: "Innovation does not give us the right to do whatever we want. There are conditions for their development, but at the same time, certain regulatory norms should not be ignored. Today there is some disappointment: the leading powers have different views on artificial intelligence."

She also emphasized the key role of education in this area: "It's about education that forms critical thinking."
