Foreign bloggers: Mass destruction committed in liberated territories during Armenian occupation

A group of bloggers who visited the liberated territories of Azerbaijan shared their impressions on the local media and social network pages, Report informs.

Foreign bloggers visited the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, including Shusha, Fuzuli, Zangilan, and other districts, and got a close look at the massive destruction caused in those areas during the Armenian occupation, including mined areas, the destruction of mosques, and the large-scale restoration and construction works that are currently being carried out.

"Some of the devastation wrought by the war in Karabakh, where entire cities were leveled. At one point, we were about 10km from the Iranian border....here, one of many mosques bombed out," blogger Dave Gordon said on Facebook.

"In Azerbaijan, the area of Karabakh was recently recaptured from Armenian occupation after thirty years. A million mines need to be yet found, but building for the future has begun. Already in 12 months, a Smart Village was built for fifty families, and at the same time, an airport built in Fuzuli," he added.

Another blogger Shai de Luca tweeted: "Welcome to Baku Azerbaijan….a place where east literally meets west. As antisemitism skyrockets to levels we've not seen in decades, Azeri Jews find remarkable stability in this Muslim-majority country. We're here to explore the Jewish story embedded in this city and to visit."

"Currently visiting the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. Minefields everywhere. Ruined village after ruined village. Saw the distant explosion of a mine being neutralized. We're right by the Iranian border - the mountains you see here, and the buildings at their base, are in Iran," Israeli blogger Adam Zivo said on Twitter.
