FM: Growing militarization of Armenia - source of threat to peace agenda

Growing militarization in Armenia remains a source of concern, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a meeting with OSCE Secretary General Helga Schmid, who is visiting the country, Report informs.
The meeting discussed the current situation in the process of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the progress achieved.
“At the same time, it was emphasized that the presence of territorial claims against Azerbaijan in the current Constitution of Armenia is unacceptable. Attention was drawn to the fact that steps that threaten the advancement of the peace agenda, especially the growing militarization in Armenia, remain a source of concern,” reads the statement.
