First volume of book on cultural heritage of Azerbaijanis in Armenia presented in Baku

The presentation of the first volume of the publication "Heritage of Western Azerbaijan: Report and materials on the results of the systematic destruction of the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Azerbaijanis in Armenia - cemeteries, and international legal responsibility" was held in Baku.

As per Report, representatives of government agencies, parliament, scientific and religious institutions spoke at the event.

It was emphasized that the deportations of Azerbaijanis from Armenia were accompanied by the destruction of mosques, cemeteries and other cultural heritage sites, which is contrary to international law.

The speakers also recalled that the return of internally displaced persons to their native lands is one of the priorities of the state policy of Azerbaijan.
