EU, US support for Armenia intensifies attempts to shift regional balance against Azerbaijan

Continuous attempts to misuse the European Union (EU) Monitoring Mission in Armenia against Azerbaijan have hindered efforts to advance the normalization agenda in the region, Report informs.

The 2024 activities report of the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers highlights the year as marked by intensified attempts to shift the military-political balance in the region unfavorably for Azerbaijan, with the EU and US supporting Armenia economically, socially, and militarily.

"With France's direct instigation, the EU's approach to the region has been observed to move further away from neutrality and impartiality," the document stated.

It was also highlighted that in 2024, efforts were made to counter actions against Azerbaijan's national interests, explain Azerbaijan's normalization approach to both regional and non-regional states and international organizations, secure international support for this approach, and counter propaganda attempts.
