EU Commissioner meets with Samir Nuriyev and Hikmet Hajiyev

EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi met with Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, and Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration during his visit to Azerbaijan, Report informs.

The sides exchanged views on the implementation of the Economic and Investment Plan. "During the meeting, we also discussed measures to respond to the challenges posed by COVID-19," a European diplomat wrote about this on his Twitter account.

The EU Commissioner visited Georgia on July 7 and Azerbaijan on July 8 as part of a tour of the South Caucasus. He will visit Armenia on July 9.

The purpose of Varhelyi's visit to the countries of the region is to present the Economic and Investment Plan and discuss important issues of bilateral relations.
