Zeljka Cvijanovic: Dialogue necessary to solve current problems in modern world

In the modern world full of pressing problems, dialogue is necessary, and the Baku Forum is an important platform for such discussions, chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljka Cvijanovic, said at a panel discussion at the 12th Global Baku Forum, Report informs.

Cvijanovic thanked the forum organizers for providing a platform for exchanging opinions and for the invitation to participate in this significant event.

"I am confident that everyone present here strives for constructive and productive dialogue. We desperately need it. After all, if we are discussing these issues, it means that problems in the world still exist," she noted.

Cvijanovic reminded the tragic military past of her country.

"The Dayton Agreement ended the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, creating a political and constitutional system that allowed the peoples of the country to live in peace. This became its main achievement," she emphasized.

At the same time, the politician noted that despite the peaceful coexistence of various ethnic groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina over the past 30 years, the process of interpreting and transforming the Dayton Agreement has led to changes not envisaged by its original provisions.
