Deputy PM: Belarus supports Azerbaijan's efforts to strengthen cooperation within NAM

Belarus fully supports Azerbaijan's efforts to strengthen international cooperation within the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko told a plenary session within the framework of Summit-level Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement Contact Group in response to COVID-19.

He also informed the meeting participants about the experience of Belarus in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. He noted that Belarus did not stop the economy, did not close the borders, did not rely solely on external assistance, but reoriented and mobilized internal resources, effectively using the potential of the Belarusian healthcare system.

Igor Petrishenko called on the member States of the Non-Aligned Movement to cooperate to counter unilateral coercive measures that have a disastrous impact on the world's health systems, as well as on the global economy, security and development prospects of all members of the international community without exception.
