Azerbaijan is waiting for a proposal from Turkmenistan to continue negotiations within a high-level working group on the Caspian Sea issues, Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan for Border and Caspian Sea Issues Khalaf Khalafov told Report.
The deputy minister said that before the pandemic, meetings were held regularly in accordance with the schedule, but the current situation makes it difficult to hold these meetings.
“After Turkmenistan agrees on a meeting with all parties, the next meeting of the high-level working group may take place. There are very important issues on the agenda. Firstly, the topic of continuing measures to implement the results of the Kazakh summit is relevant. The agenda includes preparation for the next summit, exchange of views, the state of existing projects, their implementation, and continuation of coordination,” Khalafov said.
