D-8: Azerbaijan will bring its experience and strength to Organization

Azerbaijan's application is still being processed by the D-8 Organization, Report informs, with reference to the Organization.

"Azerbaijan is an important country in the comity of nations, with a strong economic performance, and it is hoped that it will bring its experience, expertise, and strength to the Organization, along with its membership, whenever a final decision is taken by the Organization," the Organization said.

Iran supported Azerbaijan's application to join the D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization (Islamic eight). Thus, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian expressed his support in a video conference speech at the 20th meeting of the D-8 Council of Ministers in Bangladesh. Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Azerbaijan had applied for membership in D-8.
