The meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers, which was due on April 3 in Almaty, was postponed to a later date due to the current epidemiological situation. On the proposal of the Uzbek side that chairs the CIS, the meeting will take place on May 12 in the format of a videoconference. Russian Bureau of Report informs, it was announced at a meeting of the Council of permanent representatives.
The draft plan of the Ministerial Council was approved at a meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiaries in January and agreed with the presiding party.
It includes issues related to the implementation of the multi-level inter-ministerial consultations plan within the framework of the Commonwealth, the development of international youth cooperation, the functioning of the CIS Network University, collaboration in the field of tourism, physical education and sports, culture, security cooperation, protection of external borders, and the fight against corruption.
By tradition, the heads of foreign affairs agencies will exchange views on pressing issues of the international agenda and interaction in the CIS format.
