Cindy Pollux: French Guiana grateful to Azerbaijan

French Guiana is grateful to Azerbaijan for its support in the process of achieving independence, Cindy Pollux, a member of the Political Bureau of the Decolonization and Social Emancipation Movement (MDES) of French Guiana said at an international conference titled “Decolonization: Empowerment and Development of Women,” organized by the Baku Initiative Group, Report informs.

“It is very important for us to decide the fate of our country. We are fighting for independence. Such events help to exchange views on this issue with representatives of other countries. We are also grateful to Azerbaijan for its support,” she said.

Pollux also emphasized that in French Guiana the problem of gender equality is extremely pressing and requires a timely solution.
